Dear Friends ~
Greetings from the final days of the Omer count. Through the Gates: The Second Omer Journey has been well-launched, thanks to many who helped me send this new work out out to do its love-work, along with the first Through the Gates, in the hearts and minds of all who need to hear.. If you missed the launches or if you were present but want to listen again or share, here’s the recording of the second launch. Please download and share away! And if you have read either or both of the books and found them meaningful, please add your voice to the reviews on Amazon. A few words of impact go a long way to help others find what they need.
The practice of tending carefully to these forty-nine days of the Omer slows me down, encouraging me to take in the blessings of the blossoms that are all around me, as I tend to what is blossoming within this year. In the spirit of slowing down to receive what is here for us, I invite you to join me on June 5, 4-5 pm to for an on-line poetry happening:
Savoring the Season: A Summer Solstice Poetry Event
As we approach the longest day of the year, pause with me for an hour of poetry in the late afternoon. Let’s appreciate together the particular moment in which we find ourselves alive, days still lengthening, gardens bursting with roses and lilies. In the midst of so much cruelty and struggle, there is this astounding beauty that wants to be known and shared. My friend and long-time collaborator Annie Geheb from Voices of a Different Dream will join us with a song or two, and I will bring in the recorded voice of the third member of our trio, Ellen Mason of blessed memory. I’ll read from the Through the Gates books and offer some new poems too.
Please register on the Eventbrite page so I know to expect you, and so you will get the necessary reminders and Zoom link for the reading.
Many blessings,
Susan
